Amsterdam - Who hasn't heard of the legendary "King's Day" in Amsterdam?
Originally, it’s a public holiday and all about honoring the royal family. These festivities however escalated over the years to the biggest outdoor party in Holland. Amsterdam will be drenched in orange, beer and happy people because everybody will be out celebrating.
In the quieter part of the town, you’ll find markets with all kinds of Dutch delicacies - the largest is in the Vondelpark. “Vrijmarkt” is only held on King’s Day and is the largest flea market in the world. It’s worth to check out the goods there because the Dutch do have style!
